SACU Trade Ministers Meeting on EPAs, 28 January 2008, Gaborone, Botswana
Following the provisional signing of the SADC EPA negotiations by Botswana Lesotho Namibia and Swaziland, four of the five SACU Member States, the SACU Trade Ministers will be meeting in Botswana to discuss the SADC EPA’s.
Under article 31 of the SACU Agreement, member states may not enter into new preferential trade agreements with third parties without the consent of other members. The SACU member countries negotiated the EPA under the SADC configuration.
