The SACU Executive Secretary Ms Tswelopele Moremi attends the African Union (AU) brainstorming session, on the 22 - 23 July 2008 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the implementation of the Assembly's decision of a Union Government.
The SACU Executive Secretary Ms Tswelopele Moremi will be attending the African Union (AU) brainstorming session, of the AU Committee of 12 Heads of State and Government, on the implementation of the Assembly's decision of a Union Government. The brainstorming session scheduled for 22nd - 23rd July 2008, will be held in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.
After considering the report of the Committee, at the 11th Ordinary session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union meeting in Sharm - El - Sheik, Arab Republic of Egypt from 30 June to 01 July 2008, the Assembly requested the Commission of the African Union to work out the modalities and details for the implementation of the recommendations of the Committee of Twelve regarding the Union Government, including a road map and the issues that require clarity.
A Team of High Personalities and Experts, inclusive of the SACU Executive Secretary Ms Tswelopele Moremi, have been invited to brainstorm with the AU Commission on how best to deal with the implementation of the Assembly's decision of a Union Government at the 22 - 23rd July Addis Ababa meeting.
